Ayurvedic Cleanse - breakfast Oatmeal recipe

This Oatmeal with Dates, Chia, and Apple breakfast recipe serves 2. Prepare it in advance for a faster morning routine and add the fresh ingredients just before enjoying your meal.
¾ cup/60g oats of choice, regular oats, steel-cut Irish oats, jumbo oats,
¼ tsp cinnamon powder
2 cups of filtered water
pinch of salt
½ cup/65g finely chopped apple
2 Tbsp soaked chia seeds
3 Tbsp chopped dates
2 Tblsp ground flax seeds-optional

In the evening, in a small bowl or a screw-top jar place ¼ cup of chia seeds and 1 cup of nut milk. Stir well to make sure the chia seeds are evenly distributed. Let sit 20 minutes, stir again, and use immediately, or cover and store in the fridge. It will keep for 5 days.
In a small pot, combine the oats, cinnamon, water & salt. Cover and soak overnight (or for 8 to 12 hours.)
In the morning, bring the oat mixture to boil over high heat, stir, cover, reduce heat to low, and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring once or twice. Add the finely chopped apple and cook another minute or until heated through. Remove from heat and stir in 2 Tbsp of the chia seeds and the chopped dates.
Divide between two bowls, and top each bowl with 1 Tbsp of ground flaxseeds, a generous splash of nut milk, thin slivers of apple and drizzle with a spoon of ghee.
