Healthy Selfmade Ice Popsicles!

What is the ideal solution? Simply make ice cream yourself! It is not only healthier, it also tastes fresher. Apart from that, it is fun to try out your own recipes, in which you know what ingredients they contain.

Fruity Water Ice Lolly

You will need the following ingredients:

  • 500 g organically-grown oranges
  • 500 g organically-grown mango
  • 30 g rice syrup (or to taste)

Peel the oranges and remove the fillets of orange flesh. Peel the mango, and chop into small pieces. Put the fruit together with the rice syrup in a blender. Alternatively, you can put the ingredients in a tall container and use a hand blender. Put the resulting mixture in plastic ice lolly molds and include a stick. After a few hours in the freezer, you can take the ice lolly out of the mold and go out and enjoy it in the sunshine.


Healthy Banana Ice Cream

You will need the following ingredients:

  • bananas
  • ice cubes in an equal amount to bananas
  • according to taste, rice syrup, stevia or agave syrup

Chop the bananas and put them in the freezer for one hour. Take the bananas out of the freezer, put them in the blender with the ice cubes, and mix them well. Now you can enhance the ice cream according to taste, with one of the sweeteners listed. However, the bananas make this ice cream taste really good without sweeteners, or even an industrial sugar.

Yogurt Ice Lolly with Fruit

Here are the ingredients:

  • 500 g natural yogurt or soy yogurt
  • 30 g rice syrup or agave syrup
  • Fruit(s) of choice (e.g. blueberries, raspberries, mango)

Simply mix the yogurt with the rice syrup or agave syrup, and add the fruit(s) (it works very well with frozen fruit). Fill ice lolly molds with the mixture and include a stick, place in the freezer for several hours. For this recipe there are no limits to your own creativity – the ice lolly will taste fruity using a mixture of berries, and can be an exotic addition, with mango and pineapple. As long as it is healthy, and tastes good, you can use it!
