• Lemon Water 

To prepare the body for the day ahead drink a glass of warm water with lemon first thing in the morning.


Preparation:

Juice of half a lemon in a cup of warm water. 

This will help to cleanse the liver.

• Kashaya Tea

Kashaya is a deeply nourishing and soothing drink that brings calmness to the mind and supports the general health and balance of the system. Kashaya is appropriate for all constitutions and in all seasons; it is recommended at the end of a meal and to have once - twice a day. Balancing Vata, Pitta and Kapha it helps maintain the digestive fire and reduces Pitta in the body.


Ingredients: 

1 Tblsp Coriander Seeds

1 Tblsp Cumin Seeds

2 cups Water

1 tsp jaggery


Preparation:

Place all ingredients in a small saucepan and bring to boil over medium-high heat. Reduce the heat, cover, and simmer for 2-3 minutes. Strain and sip slowly.

• Warm Digestive Tea

A remedy tea for a slow digestion or feeling cold and run down. Sip it warm.


Ingredients:

1 tsp grated fresh ginger

4 small leaves of fresh mint leaves, finely chopped

1 cup water


Preparation:

Bring 1 cup water to a boil in a small saucepan over medium-high heat. Add the ginger and mint, reduce the heat, cover, and simmer for 2-3 minutes. Strain and sip slowly.
