Tasty Health-Boosting Smoothies - PART 1
Many people love smoothies and non-alcoholic cocktails. Whether the recipe is based on fruit, vegetables or dairy products, or all these ingredients combined, such drinks are healthy and filling. Below you’ll find some ideas for smoothies that might be new and inspiring. You will also learn how they can boost your health and well-being.
Yogurt and Pear Cocktail (1 glass)
This tasty shake has a detoxifying effect. Regulates bowel action and is a rich source of calcium and vitamin C.
- 1 soft ripe pear, peeled
- 2 tablespoons almond flakes
- 1 tablespoon flax seed flakes or flax seeds
- 1 cup of plain yogurt
- a couple of goji berries
Soy and Banana Cocktail (3 glasses)
Enjoy the strengthening effect. Contains high amounts of iron and potassium, helps prevent fatigue.
- 3 glasses of natural soy milk,
- 1 large ripe banana/ 2 small ones
- 1 cup raspberries
- 1 tablespoon almond flakes
- 1 tablespoon oat flakes
Herbs and Cucumber Cocktail (3 glasses)
Restores intestinal flora. Contains a high amount of selenium and other antioxidants to help fight and prevent the signs of aging.
- 1 cup natural kefir (500ml)
- 4 small cucumbers
- 1 tablespoon dill leaves
- 1 teaspoon hot pepper
- 1 teaspoon rosemary/thyme
- 1 tablespoon sunflower seeds.
Milk and Banana Cocktail (1 glass)
Refreshing and packed full of potassium. It can be used as a perfect “top-up,” of minerals after a workout. It’s so filling that it can replace a whole meal.
- 1 glass soy milk or skimmed milk
- 1/2 cup tinned pumpkin
- 1 medium sized banana
- a couple of drops vanilla essence
- 4 ice cubes
Lemon Smoothie (2 glasses)
It reduces the appetite, provides a large amount of zinc and restores balance to the liver. It is especially recommended for men and after eating fatty foods.
- 1 tablespoon pumpkin seeds
- 1 teaspoon flaxseed flakes/flax seeds
- 1 lemon, peeled
- 1 tablespoon honey
- water (500ml – glasses)
