Going natural in your beauty routines can also significantly reduce the amount you spend on cosmetics, creams and beauty products. Here are some recipes you can follow easily just by opening your pantry and your curiosity. Ready for a full spa day right at home?
Soak your nails in natural olive oil for about five minutes. Remove and dry with paper towel.
For whiter nails soak them in fresh squeezed lemon juice.
For greasy hair, take an empty bottle and mix ¼ cup of organic apple cider vinegar with 1 cup water. Apply and rinse. Finish with conditioner to the ends.
For greater shine effect, mix together a mashed banana and one raw egg. Spread the paste and leave for 15 minutes. Rinse and apply conditioner to the ends.
For a gentle body scrub that exfoliates and cleans away dead skin cells, dip a natural bar of soap into a bowl of sugar. Use in the shower and repeat as often as necessary to ensure the soap bar always has the granulated ‘sweetness’.
If you prefer a bath, adding one cup of Epsom Salts will relax, relieve stress and reduce muscle pain. Relax in the warm water for 20 minutes and rinse afterwards.
To heal cracked heels and dry skin, soak your feet in warm water for 10 minutes and gently scrub with a pumice stone. Apply olive oil generously and wrap in plastic film to preserve. Put on socks to avoid slipping - and relax.
