Europe Kakogiannaki is a Fitness, Gym Manager and Pool Instructor at Holmes Place since 2002. Her experience helped her discover that she’s passionate about helping people improve their swimming technique – “it makes me feel grateful”, she adds. Ready to dive with us in this journey? Feel inspired!

What is your passion and what do you love about it?

My great passion is to work out in the water. It is beneficial and rejuvenating at the same time. The best part, though, is when I teach people to swim, especially beginners. Watching them gradually develop their swimming ability and improving their confidence is worthy and makes me feel grateful for my profession.

How did you begin and what stands out in your journey?

My first swimming experience was at the age of five. I continued with competitive swimming in national and international level and, as the years were passing by, I realized which profession I was about to follow. I entered the fitness industry as a pool instructor at the All Sport Club at the age of 19, continued being involved in competitive swimming and started my studies in the department of Physical Education and Sport Science. I joined Holmes Place in 2002, when the first HP club in Greece was launched, which was one of the most important moments in my career. Being part of the HP team and its continuous training and employee development philosophy helped me evolve both technically and as a person. Important milestones in my professional development are the Aquarobics seminar in the US in 2003 and the Art of Swimming seminar in Portugal in 2015. During the last 15 years in Holmes Place, I met very remarkable persons that strongly encouraged me to develop my skills and improve my performance. They gave me the opportunity to participate in the opening of all three HP Clubs in Greece by organizing the Clubs’ pools. I am very lucky to be part of such a team and that’s the most important thing that stands out in my journey.

What are your next goals?

In professional level, my next goal is to successfully face the challenges of my new job position in HP Athens club and evolve even more. In a personal level, a happy family will always be my first goal.
