Tanya Meimarides - Program Director & Project Coordinator - Holmes Place
Meet Tanya Meimarides. Our Program Director & Project Coordinator in Greece is part of our Innovation Center and utterly passionate about dancing. Let her lead the way in this upbeat interview.
How did you begin and what stands out in your journey?
My journey with Holmes Place goes way back. To give you an idea, when I started, we still had clubs in England. It was 1999, Britney Spears had just debuted, and we had not yet lived the turn of the century. That's when I started working at a club in Bromley, London, as a part-time gym instructor.
Later I continued my journey with Holmes Place in Athens, Greece. I feel truly fortunate to have been able to build my career and grow within the company and to meet so many passionate and talented colleagues across the Regions.
What is your passion and what do you love about it?
Dancing is my passion. Anyone who knows me will right away confirm that. I spent my life dancing, and I can't imagine how my life would be without it. Initially, I started with classical ballet when I was only two-and-a-half years old. Since then, I have never stopped dancing. Dancing also helped my transition to fitness since I was able to bring many skills to it, both physical and mental abilities. Ultimately, dance is also responsible for my talent to inspire and build connections with members and teams at Holmes Place. Now even more, since I'm the program director for Ballet Flow - the brand-new Signature-class in Holmes Place.
On a personal note, dancing is my getaway. Sometimes, I go and hide in one of the studios with no lights and let the music guide me.
What are your next goals?
I have a personal goal to run a marathon, and I'm aiming for November 2019 in Athens. I believe this is the type of challenge that will take me out of my comfort zone and push my limits further.
On a professional level, I want to build and strengthen our Signature Classes across Europe and build a community to do what we love the most: inspire our members.
